Social events 2017

Whisky Tasting - Friday 17th November

Dunbar Hall - 8.30pm

In co-operation with the Aberdeen Malt Whisky Society we have planned something which should not be missed when in Scotland - Scottish Whisky. During this evening we will try various Whiskys from different areas of Scotland and learn about the details of what makes them different. The Malt Whisky Society will teach us how to appreciate a nice glass of Whisky and will let us know what to look for when buying a bottle or two. This evening is a great opportunity to have a chat with our speakers and other like-minded people in a more relaxed environment.

Ceilidh - Saturday 18th November

Dunbar Hall - 8.30pm

For Saturday there will be a Ceilidh at Dunbar Hall, close to the University. A Ceilidh is a traditional Scottish dance gathering with live folk music. For everyone who has never been to one, this is your chance. You don't have to know all the moves, everything will be explained during the evening. After a whole day of exciting sessions, this is the best way to relax and loosen up a bit. Join us for an evening of fantastic country dancing with Jugs Akimba Ceilidh Band.
